Positioning a ‘not so ordinary’ development within the minds of ‘not so ordinary’ tenants.

When apartment buildings have names like Henry, Alba, Ivy and Jasper and the exteriors are covered in tiles with four-leafed clovers and playful red boxes, this clearly is not a generic apartment development.

Designed by SJW Architects, the St Margarets hospital redevelopment on Bourke St, Surry Hills, is one of the largest inner city apartment sites, and perhaps one of the boldest.

During the launch of St Margarets, Platform was commissioned to create and design the St Margaret’s commercial brochure, produce a series of large-scale print-media advertisements, and design and produce various marketing collateral for direct marketing purposes.

The brochure — representing the commercial space — was aimed at ‘big-name’ retailers who would be inspired to become a part of the exciting new retail community.

The architectural impressions were slightly modified with semi-surreal effects, creating a more appealing series of images that were more in line with the unique Surry Hills culture.
